The neoliberal state is defined by its creation of the conditions that make capitalism historically possible. Traditionally, it carries out tasks such as promoting privatisation and deregulation. In addition to these, it carries out functions linked to the central role that finance has assumed as a result of globalisation. On the one hand, the neoliberal state is now committed to draining and channelling citizens’ savings towards corpotations providing services that were previously the responsibility of public authorities. On the other hand, it guarantees the investments made by these corporations, including those related to the construction of a war economy – a goal for which the foundations of sustainable finance have ultimately been reformed.

Abstract
The neoliberal state is defined by its creation of the conditions that make capitalism historically possible. Traditionally, it carries out tasks such as promoting privatisation and deregulation. In addition to these, it carries out functions linked to the central role that finance has assumed as a result of globalisation. On the one hand, the neoliberal state is now committed to draining and channelling citizens’ savings towards corpotations providing services that were previously the responsibility of public authorities. On the other hand, it guarantees the investments made by these corporations, including those related to the construction of a war economy – a goal for which the foundations of sustainable finance have ultimately been reformed.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
