During the recent meeting of the European Glaucoma Panel, we discussed with interest the article by Lisboa et al. Their conclusion that the rate of binocular visual field (BVF) change was significantly associated with abnormal vision-related quality of life (VRQOL) is potentially of importance; however, we do not believe the study design and analysis are adequate to support the conclusion.
