Materiale/digitale. Strategie e strumenti per la gestione conservativa del patrimonio storico urbano

The essay provides a concise overview of the conceptual premises, objectives and specific IT operational tools dedicated to the conservation management of historic centres. In particular, the section dedicated to the historic centre developed for the Territorial Information System Carta del Rischio (Risk Map) of the Ministry of Culture is presented along with the related information sheets. The specific case consisting of the historic centre of Ciciliano (Rome) is then explored in more detail, illustrating the characteristics of the built-up area and the results of the filing of a piece of the building tissue corresponding to the oldest section, of medieval origin; the significance of the vulnerability and transformation indices developed by the system is particularly highlighted. Finally, consideration is given to the possibility of implementing the Risk Map platform through the creation of an interoperable GIS, aimed at responding to the local administration’s needs for conservative management of the historic building heritage. Always in consideration of the chosen case study, the way in which to structure the system and the operational potential related to the construction and use of the digital is indicated.
