Within a general framework aimed at illustrating the history of the Quarticciolo entertainment buildings, the contribution focuses attention on the Corallo cinema, the work of the engineer Francesco De Intinis, now transformed into a supermarket and on the Quarticciolo Library Theater born in 2007 from the recovery of the former local market. The construction events and the subsequent transformations of the building heritage examined allow us to make some reflections on the theme of re-functionalization analyzed both on an architectural and urban scale.
