The paper presents the main activities and results of the Uzbek-Italian Archaeological Project - UIAP. The main goal of the project is a comprehensive study of one of the most important historical oases of Eurasia. The research is based on a multi-temporal and multi-scalar approach, which includes several activities and the involvement of specialists from different disciplines.
