Bambine e fanciulle negli Atti apocrifi degli apostoli: fra nozze rifiutate, femminicidi, resurrezioni

This study analyses the apocryphal Acts of the Apostles in respect to some episodes involving girls and young women starting from the summary given by Photius (Bibliotheca, cod. 114), who underlines only the denial of legitimate marriage and procreation as the core of these Acts as far as women are involved. The examples analysed concern the Acts of Peter (episodes of Peter’s daughter and of the gardener’s daughter) and the Acts of Thomas (episodes of diabolical possessions and of the young convert who kills his lover).
