El espíritu surrealista en el doble hilo creativo tejido por Remedios Varo y su legado en la actualidad

O artigo pretende refletir sobre o legado do surrealismo na atualidade, por ocasião do centenário da publicação do seu manifesto. A partir da obra de André Breton (1924), e por meio do análises aprofundadas de Pellegrini (1981) e Castiglioni (2000), evidenciam-se os pilares de um movimento voltado para alcançar a liberdade do ser humano. Dá-se ênfase as características-chave como a importância atribuída a poesia, ao universo onírico, a imaginação e ao amor, especialmente na obra de Remedios Varo (1908-1963). A pintora e escritora, conseguio também afirmar-se como artista, sendo mulher. Com o objetivo de demonstrar a curiosidade e a fascinação que o surrealismo continua a despertar na critica contemporânea, são apresentados estudos acadêmicos, obras literárias e exposições que continuam a proliferar, tornando-se testemunhos da energia ainda viva duma mística da revolta.

The article aims to reflect on the legacy of Surrealism today, on the centenary of the publication of its manifesto. Starting from the work of Andre Breton (1924), and through reference to the in-depth analyses by Pellegrini (1981) and Castiglioni (2000), the foundational pillars of a movement aimed at achieving freedom for the human being are brought to light. Emphasis is places on key characteristics such as the importance attributed to poetry, the dreamlike universe, imagination, and love, especially in the work of Remedios Varo (1908-1963). The painter and writer, also succeeded in asserting herself as a woman artist. To demonstrate the curiosity and fascination that Surrealism continues to generate in contemporary criticism, academic studies, literary works and exhibitions are presented and thus bear witness to the still living energy of a mysticism of revolt.
