The Malvindi site (Mesagne, BR) is known in archaeological literature for the presence of a Roman thermal complex. From the earliest research, it was possible to distinguish two phases of occupation: the first linked to the usage of the thermal center till the 5th century AD; the second related to a change of use of the building between the 6th and 7th century AD. A new interdisciplinary research allows to define the reoccupation, highlighting how the reuse of Malvindi’s thermae was probably connected to production activities also concerning the exploitation of hard material of animal origin.

Abstract
The Malvindi site (Mesagne, BR) is known in archaeological literature for the presence of a Roman thermal complex. From the earliest research, it was possible to distinguish two phases of occupation: the first linked to the usage of the thermal center till the 5th century AD; the second related to a change of use of the building between the 6th and 7th century AD. A new interdisciplinary research allows to define the reoccupation, highlighting how the reuse of Malvindi’s thermae was probably connected to production activities also concerning the exploitation of hard material of animal origin.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
