This contribution is part of a project aimed at investigating the geometric patterns and ideographic depiction as traces of visual communication between the nomadic and half-nomadic societies of Southwestern Asia. In particular, the research proposes to follow the geometric formalization and the ideographic representations as traces of a figurative language infractions used by nomadic and semi-nomadic cultures in central-southern Mesopotamia, central-northern Syria, and south-eastern Arabia between the end of the Fourth Millennium B.C. and the end of the Third Millennium B.C.
