Within an urban context strongly marked by a centuries-old monumental tradition, modern architecture in Venice has historically encountered difficulties in being recognised as a legitimate and significant component of the city's heritage. The present contribution intends to reconsider this heritage through the drafting of a critical registry of the 20th -century architecture already subjected to restrictions in the Venetian territory. Starting from an in-depth of the protective measures and the reconnaissance of the main architectural typologies involved, the research aims to out-line a coherent framework of the recognition logics operated by the authorities in charge, highlighting the evolution of the evaluation criteria and of the binding procedures. Considered this, the reflection finally extends to the perspec-tive level, with the indication of architectures that are currently lacking in protection but deserve attention.

Abstract
Considered this, the reflection finally extends to the perspec-tive level, with the indication of architectures that are currently lacking in protection but deserve attention.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
