Sguardi e soggettività in movimento: la danza come pratica di mediazione museale performativa e partecipativa

The article examines the growing presence of dance in the context of museum mediation, analysing how participatory and performative approaches to engaging with cultural heritage can contribute to rethinking the social role of museums. Starting from the debate on the contemporary missions of museum institutions and the educational potential of performative languages, the text focuses on research and experiments where dance emerges as a transversal practice capable of fostering a renewed dialogue between audiences, artworks, and spaces through performative actions, dance-based tours, and movement workshops. In conclusion, the article highlights some experiences within the Italian context, to end with the evidence of a dance workshop experienced in first person that inspired this research.
