Ricucire una frattura. Proposta per una strategia di valorizzazione del patrimonio architettonico dell’e􀁃 area industriale di Colleferro (RM)

The paper presents the current results of research that investigates the case study of the former industrial area of Colleferro and focuses on the enhancement of historical-cultural and identity components of the contemporary city. The methodological approach adopted, analyses a series of quantitative statistical and urban planning data and the prescriptions of the Municipal administration for the area. Additionally, it brings into play, as a further important theoretical methodological reference, a careful rereading and communication of the perceptive aspects of the places. Implementing this operational strategy focuses on restoring dignity and value to the 20th-century industrial architectural heritage that remains in the area. The actions, without land consumption, aim to re-establish the original link of the area with the city and therefore new fruition expected by the community implementing digital applications for ‘knowledge paths’ in the park that are expected to provide quality socio-cultural responses.
