The paper recalls the main issues addressed during the conference and in its proceedings, focusing on the unresolved questions around the Athlete, such as the circulation and exhibition of Greek artworks in the Roman world, the decennial legal issues concerning the statue’s ownership, its conservation, and valorisation, its relationship with the Adriatic area and with the local community of Fano, up to new research perspectives and valorisation strategies of its original context.
