This article presents a case study on the Civico Zero, a non-profit organization, a day center for unaccompanied foreign minors (MSNA) located in the San Lorenzo district of Rome. The article focuses on the design of the space, which was co-designed with the young people who attend the center, taking into account their needs and the desire to make them feel like protagonists in an educational journey. Through the analysis of theoretical frameworks and the testimonies of experts involved in the design of the workshops and in working with the young people, it explores how participatory artistic practices and the co-design of spaces promote empowerment, a sense of belonging, and the symbolic reworking of migratory experiences. The study highlights the pedagogical significance of expressive workshops as embodied, relational, and transformative environments capable of connecting imagination, affectivity, and intercultural learning.
Questo contributo presenta uno studio di caso sulla onlus Civico Zero, un centro diurno per minori stranieri non accompagnati (Msna) situato nel quartiere di San Lorenzo di Roma. L'articolo si concentra sull'allestimento dello spazio co-progettato con i ragazzi che frequentano il centro, tenendo conto delle loro esigenze e della volontà di farli sentire protagonisti di un percorso educativo. Attraverso l'analisi di framework teorici e le testimonianze di esperti coinvolti nella progettazione dei laboratori e nel lavoro con i ragazzi, si esplora come le pratiche artistiche partecipative e la co-progettazione degli spazi favoriscano l'empowerment, il senso di appartenenza e la rielaborazione simbolica delle esperienze migratorie. Lo studio evidenzia il significato pedagogico dei laboratori espressivi come ambienti incarnati, relazionali e trasformativi, capaci di collegare immaginazione, affettività e apprendimento interculturale.
