This paper deals with the requirements that the Digital Twin of a heritage asset should meet in order to be used as an information system to support prevention and conservation planning. The experience proposed in previous research carried out to implement platforms for documenting, archiving diagnostic data and other information related to restoration work, such as SICaRweb, has been analyzed to determine the needs not completely cover. In particular, previous works on the use of 3D modeling and Digital Shadow in the pilot site of the Grotta degli Animali in the Villa Medicea di Castello are considered. The requirements of Digital Twin are detailed in relation to the needs for the decision-making process. Moreover, the enabling of the bi-directional data flow between physical model and virtual model for data and metadata management of cultural heritage is discussed too.

Abstract
Moreover, the enabling of the bi-directional data flow between physical model and virtual model for data and metadata management of cultural heritage is discussed too.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
