Il Frahang ī ōīm e il Frahang ī pahlawīg nelle carte inedite di Champollion

Among Champollion’s unpublished papers concerning Persian, there are also two Middle Persian dictionaries, the "Frahang ī Ōīm" and the "Frahang ī Pahlawīg". Champollion’s source is Anquetil Duperron’s edition (1771), but especially as regards the second, Champollion also seems to have had access at least to the manuscript prepared by the dastūr Dārāb for Anquetil. This article focuses on the philological history of the second dictionary, which appears partly in a manuscript preserved in France (NAF 20363), partly in another manuscript preserved in the municipal library of Faenza (ms. 344).
