This text is the preface to the volume "Habitable Future. Smart Spaces, Objectives, and Devices to Support Aging," which presents a multidisciplinary approach to the design of living spaces from an age-friendly perspective, aligned with the Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) paradigm, which promotes the integration of assistive devices and technologies to create safe and comfortable environments that meet the needs of older adults and their caregivers. The contributions in the volume are based on the experiences shared during the conference organized by WP1 of Spoke 9 "Human-Centred Design and Evaluation, Certifications, Sustainability within the Built Environment," as part of the Age-It/PNRR program.

Il testo è la prefazione al volume " Habitable Future. Smart Spaces, Obijects, and Devices to Support Aging", che presenta un approccio multidisciplinare alla progettazione degli spazi abitativi da una prospettiva age-friendly, in linea con il paradigma dell’Ambient Assisted Living (AAL), che promuove l’integrazione di dispositivi e tecnologie assistive per creare ambienti sicuri e confortevoli, in grado di rispondere alle esigenze degli anziani e dei loro caregiver. I contributi che compongono il volume si basano sulle esperienze condivise durante la conferenza organizzata dal WP1 dello Spoke 9 “Human-Centred Design and Evaluation, Certifications, Sustainability within the Built Environment”, nell’ambito del programma Age-It/PNRR.
