In this study, we exploit surface electromagnetic localized states in one-dimensional periodic dielectric structures (photonic crystals, 1DPCs) to develop an advanced spectroscopic technique in the Mid-IR range. This approach introduces new degrees of freedom for molecular sensing, offering innovative solutions to critical challenges in chemical detection and materials science.

Abstract
In this study, we exploit surface electromagnetic localized states in one-dimensional periodic dielectric structures (photonic crystals, 1DPCs) to develop an advanced spectroscopic technique in the Mid-IR range. This approach introduces new degrees of freedom for molecular sensing, offering innovative solutions to critical challenges in chemical detection and materials science.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
