This study explores the intersection of fashion, costume, and the valorization of Italy’s historic villages, within the framework of cultural regeneration policies promoted by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Through a qualitative analysis of various museum initiatives and renewal projects, it demonstrates how fashion and costume act as catalysts for local socioeconomic development, promoting responsible tourism and strengthening community cultural identity. The work highlights the significance of sartorial and craft practices in the revival of villages, suggesting that preserving intangible heritage can stimulate socioeconomic innovation and community cohesion.
