Starting from the recognition of a textual and discursive structure characteristic of Manzoni’s lyrical texts (Inni sacri, Cinque Maggio and the chorus of A. iv of Adelchi), the contribution identifies a necessary premise in Parini’s odes, which are, however, in their turn inserted into a broader eighteenth-nineteenth-century line. The point of origin of similar solutions is in fact to be found in Horace’s carmina, which, as is well known, exercised their greatest influence on the Italian poetic tradition in the eighteenth century.

Abstract
Starting from the recognition of a textual and discursive structure characteristic of Manzoni’s lyrical texts (Inni sacri, Cinque Maggio and the chorus of A. iv of Adelchi), the contribution identifies a necessary premise in Parini’s odes, which are, however, in their turn inserted into a broader eighteenth-nineteenth-century line. The point of origin of similar solutions is in fact to be found in Horace’s carmina, which, as is well known, exercised their greatest influence on the Italian poetic tradition in the eighteenth century.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
