Ischia is the largest of the islands in the Gulf of Naples, located in the Mediterranean. The fragility of its landscape and territorial system, recently made even more vulnerable by the effects of ongoing climate change, stems from the coexistence and interconnection of seismic, hydrogeological, and wildfire risks. In this context, the ongoing FIRE research project aims to develop multi-criteria risk scenarios that systematize climatic variables, ecosystem changes, landscape evolutions, and wildfire propagation dynamics. Through the presentation of the case study, this paper seeks to explore the role that landscape architecture can play in interdisciplinary dialogue aimed at risk scenario modeling. It challenges a technocratic and sectoral approach to risk reduction while contributing to the disciplinary debate, from a technical and operational perspective, on interpreting fire not solely as a destructive element but as a generative force for envisioning new potential pyro-landscapes.

Abstract
It challenges a technocratic and sectoral approach to risk reduction while contributing to the disciplinary debate, from a technical and operational perspective, on interpreting fire not solely as a destructive element but as a generative force for envisioning new potential pyro-landscapes.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
