The work proposed is the outcome of a pilot project funded by Fondazione Sapienza under the establishment of the Marcello Barbanera Grant. The institution of a Public Archaeology workshop, the application of questionnaires before and after the activities, and the in itinere evaluation made it possible to objectively examine the potential benefits on the detention community of the Casa Lavoro di Vasto. The short-term impact assessment on the project and the structuring of questionnaires emphasise the multidisciplinary aspect of the initiative, supported by the partnership between La Sapienza University and the Lazio-Abruzzo- Molise Regional Proveditorate of the Ministry of Justice.
