This paper re-examines selected philological and literary aspects of the aretalogy of Sarapis by Maiistas. Following a brief introduction to the poem and its author, it offers commentary notes with particular attention to the main textual issues. These observations are intended to complement Engelmann’s commentary, while incorporating more recent bibliography.
