This brief contribution builds on the recent review by Bruschi and colleagues published in SLEEP, adding data from our own study on plasma neurofilament light chain (NfL) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in isolated REM sleep behavior disorder (iRBD), and highlighting the potential role of circadian markers in future multimodal biomarker panels. By commenting on Bruschi et al. and other recent articles, the letter situates the authors' review and some recent findings from our study group within the broader effort to identify early and accessible biomarkers of α-synucleinopathies.

Abstract
This brief contribution builds on the recent review by Bruschi and colleagues published in SLEEP, adding data from our own study on plasma neurofilament light chain (NfL) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in isolated REM sleep behavior disorder (iRBD), and highlighting the potential role of circadian markers in future multimodal biomarker panels. By commenting on Bruschi et al. and other recent articles, the letter situates the authors' review and some recent findings from our study group within the broader effort to identify early and accessible biomarkers of α-synucleinopathies.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
