Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the energy sector by optimizing resources, improving efficiency, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions (Seema T., 2023; Atul & Bhawna, 2023). Key applications include smart grid management, enhancing reliability and efficiency through digital technologies (Guo & Li, 2023). AI also supports prosumer-driven energy communities, promoting sustainable models (Parra-Domínguez & Ordóñez, 2023). Despite barriers such as high costs, data security, and skill requirements (Tangi et al., 2023), policies like the EU's push for energy flexibility emphasize AI’s pivotal role in the digital and energy transitions (Sayed et al., 2023). This review analyzes AI's impact on sustainable energy.
