Il valore dell'esperienza: Ernesto Monaci alla Reale Accademia dei Lincei

The article introduces the project “Ernesto Monaci alla Reale Accademia dei Lincei”, consisting of the cataloguing and digitalization of the archival material aimed at reconstructing the philologist’s forty years of activity at the Reale Accademia. The presentation offered here is based on the seminar entitled “Ernesto Monaci all’Accademia dei Lincei. Stato dei lavori e prospettive future”, held on the 13th of March 2024 at Sapienza Università di Roma. The article is structured in two sections. The first section provides a general overview of Monaci’s activity at the Accademia, exploring some of its most interesting aspects, and illustrates the collection of the archival material. The second part provides a comprehensive illustration of the informatics cataloguing methods employed, and proposes a potential digitalization of the project, through the development of an interactive timeline.
