The Lebanese-Italian Archaeological Project in the Region of Tyre is a new collaborative endeavour for the first systematic investigation of previously little know areas in the environs of the Old City of Tyre – the regions of Tell Maaschouq, Shawakeer and Ras el-Ain. This paper reports on the results of the 2019-2022 fieldwork and study seasons concerning the timeline of human occupation in those areas from prehistory to modern time, and patterns of urban/rural/maritime interactions in these regions.
