Under the threat of climate change, the world has become an increasingly unsafe place, with a series of extreme events causing devastation and high economic costs. These impacts are heterogeneous due to differences in climate change effects across regions and the varying socio-economic characteristics of affected places. This interconnection is crucial for developing proper management and mitigation strategies, especially in developing countries with limited resources. Climate change poses significant challenges for the management of cultural heritage sites. To address this, it is crucial to identify heritage sites at risk from climate change-related natural hazards, considering both the hazard nature and the resilient/vulnerable socio-economic factors that may increase or reduce potential damage. This work aims to provide a method to detect heritage sites at risk, using a case study on Italy that can be replicated in different contexts and scenarios.
