By using the Italian legal system as example, the following contribution aims to elucidate the concept of the right to disconnect, examining its legal foundations, practical implications, and the mechanisms required to ensure its effective implementation. More precisely, the analysis will explore how recent legislation and policy frameworks support the protection of employees' work-life balance and privacy, particularly in the context of agile work and digital work environments. A closer scrutiny is mandatory.
