This article aims to explore the philosophical value of dance, both as a solo and choral performance, within Plotinus’ thought. Dance, with its rational and dialectical nature, serves as a link between physics and metaphysics, elucidating specific cosmic issues and revealing how the hypostases interact. As a contemplative act, dance has an epistrophic power, that of the Soul turning towards the Nous and the One.
