The contribution aims to make some methodological considerations regarding the study of the legal systems of the peoples of pre-Roman Italy a century after Arthur Rosemberg’s fundamental study, using both autochthonous documents, which are relatively recent and not easy to read, and the indirect testimony of Latin and Greek authors, which is not always reliable.
