Jus naturae und natura humana in August Friedrich Müllers handschriftlichem Kommentar zu Andreas Rüdigers "Institutiones eruditionis"

The Bibliotheca Albertina in Leipzig holds three interleaved volumes which contain a manuscript commentary of Andreas Rüdiger s (1673 – 1731) Institutiones eruditionis. In this paper I have examined one of the sections of the volumes richest in annotations, the one about natural law. I looked at the position of the annotator in the jusnaturalistic tradition and analyzed the concept of natura expressed in the marginalia. Therefore I have: 1) analyzed the relationship between the annotations und Rüdiger s work, between the manuscript commentary and the printed text; 2) clarified the problem of the dating and authorship of the marginalia; 3) made some reflections on the jusnaturalistic model of Rüdiger and August Friedrich Müller (1684 – 1761), the author of the marginalia.
