Visioni transculturali: un’analisi della pratica artistica di Fiamma Montezemolo

This article reconsiders the artistic practice of Italian artist and anthropologist Fiamma Montezemolo, adopting a perspectivethat integrates philosophical, geographical, and anthropological research with in Border Studies and Postcolonial Studies. The methodology reflects the polyphonic nature of Montezemolo’s work, which combines the knowledge and methods from her anthropological background with artistic research to explore themes related to identity, belonging, and territorial realities. After outlining the origins of her practice, the article analyzes four works that address, from different perspectives and methodologies, the theme of territorial borders, with particular attention to the Mexico-U.S. border and identity as a fluid and transformative category
