Dopo Mengarelli. Caere e il suo territorio nelle ricerche di Massimo Pallottino e Giovanni Colonna tra Soprintendenza e Università: tutela, ricerca e formazione

The paper traces the intense activity carried out in Cerveteri and its territory by M. Pallottino and G. Colonna first as officials of the Soprintendenza alle Antichità dell’Etruria meridionale, then as professors at the University of Rome. A rotation of functions that resulted in numerous studies and researches, which contributed on the one hand to the protection and enhancement of important evidence, and on the other to the training of young researchers: “a very pressing interest” of both the universities and the Ministry of the Culture.
