T his paper focuses on some gaming boards preserved in the area of the Imperial Forums of Rome, in particular from the Forum of Augustus, the Forum of Caesar, the Forum of Trajan and the complex of the Markets of Trajan . These examples of tabulae lusoriae (so often called) are carved on the pavement remains of porticoes and squares, on the paving stones of streets and on some marble blocks reused as thresholds or steps . The gaming bords are decontextualised and probably represent only a part of the original corpus, but are nonetheless very significant as they offer a very heterogeneous typological and topographical picture, which allows us to acquire interesting data on the type of use of the most monumental area of Rome in Late Antiquity
