This contribution, starting from the complications experienced in the formation of the Spanish Executives caused by the party context that has characterized Spain over the last ten to fifteen years, analyses the process of Government formation and its prospects for modification. In this sense, a comparison with the formation procedure of the autonomous Executives appears useful as a political and institutional laboratory at which to look for legal solutions, while keeping in mind the different systemic requirements between national and regional levels.
