Antropologia della tecnica e della tecnologia. Introduzione

This introduction explores the relationship between technology, technique, and society. Highlighting the importance of considering the social, political and environmental implications of technological innovation, it shows how technology is shaped by specific cultural and historical processes. By reviewing the theoretical debates on technique and technology, it points to critical approaches that balance the limits and transformative potential of technology. Finally, the articles in the special issue are presented in their various anthropological and ethnographic perspectives, crossing materiality, digital media, power, embodiment, skills, gender, and knowledge.
