Innovation in architecture and city planning is defined as involving, creating, developing, and implementing new ideas, methods, products, or processes that improve existing ones or introduce completely new concepts (Niented, Karafili 2016; Davila et al. 2013). Innovation should not be defined merely through the use of technology. Architects and city planners, rather than being regulated by technology, must exploit it to promote the basic needs of human beings, communities, and society. Empathy, meanwhile, is defined as feeling and understanding people’s emotions, problems, issues, success or failure. As architects and city planners, we need to understand and perceive the space with sensitivity toward user’s and people’s mindsets. If architects and city planners are well aware of how users and people perceive and feel about the spaces they produce, then it will become easier to design or plan space and cities for them (Decety, Jackson 2006; Sandman 2021).

Abstract
If architects and city planners are well aware of how users and people perceive and feel about the spaces they produce, then it will become easier to design or plan space and cities for them (Decety, Jackson 2006; Sandman 2021).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
