Decadenza urbana e suolo in disuso. Le infrastrutture sportive complesse come motori di rigenerazione urbana

The paper investigates the relationships between public space, degraded sports facilities and urban policies. Sport, specifically soccer, proves to be a promoter of urban and social regeneration, with the stadium as a protagonist within urban policies. The contribution, starting from a general framework of the area, investigates the Italian context, from a social, urban and regulatory point of view, comparing it with cases, on the other hand, well-established European cases such as the case of the Air National Stadium in Tirana in order to define new methods and tools for the reintegration of stadiums within the city.
