This article begins with an analysis of the relief depicting the Madonna della Ghiara, currently housed in the National Galleries of the Marche, and proposes reattributing the work from Federico Brandani to Antonio Traeri. It traces the key stages of Traeri's career, focusing on his training and oeuvre. The author supports Traeri's apprenticeship with Sigismondo Caula and suggests the possibility of a second apprenticeship in Giuseppe Maria Mazza's workshop. Based on stylistic analysis, the article argues for including the statues on the ciborium of the main altar in the church of San Bartolomeo in Modena and the stuccoes in the semi-dome of the presbytery of the church of San Barnaba in Mantua in Traeri's catalogue. Additionally, the author proposes reattributing the stuccoes in the Room of Cupid and Psyche in the Ducal Palace of Modena, traditionally credited to Traeri, to Giovanni Battista Barberini. Finally, the putti flanking the memorial of Simone Resti, under the portico of the church of Santi Girolamo e Vitale in Reggio Emilia, previously attributed to Traeri, are suggested to be the work of Antonio Alai.

Abstract
Finally, the putti flanking the memorial of Simone Resti, under the portico of the church of Santi Girolamo e Vitale in Reggio Emilia, previously attributed to Traeri, are suggested to be the work of Antonio Alai.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
