This article provides an in-depth overview of 2D and 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD), with a focus on Autodesk’s AutoCAD. Covering both 2D structural design and the three-dimensional environment, it illustrates the importance of concepts such as layers, 2D element management and the use of blocks. The transition to AutoCAD 3D includes orthogonal views, visualisation styles and the creation of solids. Subsequently, the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology with Revit software is introduced, highlighting the creation of intelligent models for buildings. A specific case study illustrates the application of BIM to a washhouse in the municipality of Samo, with details on laser scanner and drone surveying, point cloud generation and 3D modelling in Revit. The article highlights the advantages of the BIM model in information management, structural and energy analysis, and project collaboration. It also links to the current focus on land management, emphasising the importance of advanced technologies, such as Geomatics, in environmental monitoring and heritage conservation, thus contributing to urban resilience.

Abstract
It also links to the current focus on land management, emphasising the importance of advanced technologies, such as Geomatics, in environmental monitoring and heritage conservation, thus contributing to urban resilience.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
