Capitalismo responsabile e finanza sostenibile: alcune brevi considerazioni

The paper aims to explore the relevance of financial markets in promoting and supporting the transition toward economic systems able to combine financial returns, social well-being, and environmental protection. After outlining the meaning of responsible capitalism, based on the relevance of corporate social responsibility, the logic and tools of sustainable finance will be analyzed. It is of interest to verify whether and to what extent sustainable finance contributes to realizing financial or corporate investments aimed not only at maximizing investors' wealth but also at protecting the environment and people. In our opinion, socially responsible investing can certainly play a key role in the transition towards more responsible capitalism, but sustainable finance itself presents limits and critical issues.
