Abstract
The Carolino Aqueduct, infrastructure designed by Luigi Vanvitelli, still retains traces of the ancient hydraulic and production system, spread in the landscape between Benevento and Caserta and waiting for integrated conservation projects. This paper illustrates the first results of the research project within the National Doctorate in "Heritage Science" which has as its theme the design and implementation of a Historical Gis (HGIS) with the aim not only of systematizing the rich iconographic, cartographic and documentary corpus available for the case study in the digital technical field, but to provide a tool of knowledge useful to orient strategies of conservation and enhancement of the historical landscape of the Carolino, as well as the compatible reuse of architectural complexes closely related to the Vanvitellian Aqueduct, now abandoned.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
