Il digitale come strumento attivo di conservazione della memoria culturale

The rapid development of new digital technologies undoubtedly represents a resource for various fields of action in culture. During the research we will try to understand how and why the increasingly decisive digital advances must certainly be taken into serious consideration even in the field of safeguarding cultural heritage. In particular, the main interest will be to study the relationship between human memory and digital memory. Today, in fact, IT tools are increasingly used to keep track of a lot of data which can thus be saved from oblivion and preserved for future use. However, is the use of these instruments really capable of keeping memory of the past and above all of making it alive in the present? Can we therefore talk about preserving the memory of what has been without worrying about the construction of the future?
