Teatri Nazionali e Fondo Nazionale per lo Spettacolo dal Vivo: l’impatto sulla produzione dei metodi di assegnazione dei finanziamenti statali

The purpose of this work is to examine how theatrical production in Italy's major prose theaters – specifically the National Theaters and the Piccolo Teatro di Milano – has evolved in response to changes in the allocation methods of the National Fund for the Performing Arts, the primary state funding instrument. The research encompasses both the production process and artistic output, and is conducted through a two-phase quantitative and qualitative analysis. The first phase involves data analysis of produced performances, examining trends in parameters such as quantity, typology, budget, and circulation. The second phase will focus on two case studies using a qualitative approach.
