Per un'edizione digitale di un "catasto" medievale: la "Tavola delle Possessioni" di Siena (1316-1320)

One of the most ancient examples of Italian cadastre is the so called Tavola delle Possessioni, made of Commune of Siena between 1316 and 1320, currently preserved in State Archive of Siena. The starting point that it gives to fiscal, social, demographic, archeologic and history of territory studies make necessary its protection and conservation. The purpose of project is to prepare a digitalization of register of Sienese Valdichiana through the digital filing of nformation with a relational database management system. Moreover, the project aims to arrange a digital edition of historical source by publishing a database and photo reproduction of registers in the portal of State Archive. Another objective is to recreate a map of toponyms and to study a possible graphic representation of territory described in the source. The final objective is to support the historical research and contribute to offer a clearer view of medieval Siena.
