Professione registrar in Italia. Ruolo, competenze e sviluppi possibili

The research aims to delineate the role and centrality of the Registrar within the network of a cultural institution, thus contributing to its professional and social recognition, and introducing a new approach to investigating cultural professionals. Despite their crucial role in Heritage management and preservation, the Registrar lacks adequate acknowledgment and appreciation. This study adopts an interdisciplinary approach, integrating qualitative and quantitative codification of data to clarify the Registrar’s role and responsibilities in Italy and to re-establish the connection between the labor market and the national educational system. Through collaboration with national and international academic and professional institutions, as well as the analysis of skills and educational paths, the goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of the Registrar’s position in Italian cultural institutions.
