Restauro e Patrimonio. Riflessioni su una metamorfosi

In recent decades, an important process of transformation has progressively induced a complete revision of the epistemological-aesthetic model that until then identified 'objects' in need of preservation, in favour of new socio-anthropological paradigms, in tune with the more general changes that have taken place at the same time. The Cultural Heritage is increasingly expanding under the impetus of different values and meanings recognised, from time to time, by different actors (groups, local communities, society); for the same reason, every process of patrimonialization can raise a number of critical areas and carries with it many cultural, social, political and technical consequences. This paper intends to raise some considerations about the general, actual theoretical and methodological repercussions produced within our disciplinary field by this paradigm shift on the basis of which culture and cultural practices are conceived.
