L’energia sessuale in Reich, Marcuse, Foucault: Prospettive a confronto

Sexuality, in psychoanalytic treatments, has had various interpretative implications. For Wilhelm Reich, the formation of character armor derives from the mismanagement of sexual energy, which causes traffic jams and does not flow freely towards the so-called "genital discharge". In Freud's treatise, the children who killed their father introjected his precepts and prohibitions, and interpreted sexuality only in a procreative way, condemning themselves to forced and coercive labor in everyday life. Later, with automation, Eros will be freed from the obligations of work, and will be experienced freely. In post-modern times, sexuality will become a leisure imposed on citizen-consumers as an obligation to be fulfilled under penalty of exclusion from the pack. In Michel Foucault's treatments, sexuality becomes the object of the discourses of Power, it becomes microphysical and pervasive, and the neurosis of citizens depends on this capillarity and invasiveness.
