Grounded Theory (GT) is a methodological approach that allows us to address complex and little-known phenomena, making theory emerge from data through an inductive path. GT was adopted in research relating to Outdoor Education conducted within Italian primary schools. Given the complexity of the phenomenon, this methodological approach was chosen, in which the saturation of the categories was achieved through a triangulation of the data, collected using different data collection methods and different sources. This contribution reports the evidence that shows how GT can be used in research relating to innovative topics.

Abstract
Grounded Theory (GT) is a methodological approach that allows us to address complex and little-known phenomena, making theory emerge from data through an inductive path. GT was adopted in research relating to Outdoor Education conducted within Italian primary schools. Given the complexity of the phenomenon, this methodological approach was chosen, in which the saturation of the categories was achieved through a triangulation of the data, collected using different data collection methods and different sources. This contribution reports the evidence that shows how GT can be used in research relating to innovative topics.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
